Jacob was born 18 May 1837 in Monroe Co., VA and died 6 Mar 1916 in Walnut Township, Gallia Co., OH. He was the son of Jacob and Nancy (Neal) Maddy. He married twice: first to Deborah Rose 18 Nov 1897 in Lawrence Co., OH; and second to Helen McDonald.
