Christian Dappert, 67, DeGraff, died unexpectedly Wednesday morning in the emergency room of Mercy memorial hospital, Urbana, where he had been taken after becoming ill at home.
He was born in Post-Al, Romania, aug. 8, 1918, the son of Christian and Eva (Hartman) Dappert.
He was a retired employee of the Geuy Construction Co. Rosewood.
Survivors include his wife,Emma (Hildebrandt) Dappert, whom he married March 8, 1947, one daughter, Mrs. Jack (Gisela) Bowling of Rosewood, two grandchildren, and two brothers, Otto Dappert of West Mansfield and Alfred Dappert of West Germany.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday at 2 pm in the Spring Grove Cemetery, St. Paris, with the Rev. Israel Irizarri of the Rosewood United Methodist Church officiating
