Joe Voke, 78, St. Paris died at 8:09 a.m. Monday, Nov. 8, 1993, at Piqua Memorial Medical Center following an extended illness.
He was born Feb. 22, 1915, in Logan County, the son of Lawrene A and Helen (Phillips) Voke.
He as a 1933 graduate of Kingscreek High School and a member of the Rosewood United Methodist Church. He was a farmer and was formerly employed at the St. Paris Hardware Store.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Jane (McBride) Voke, whom he married on Nov 13, 1935; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Don Boerner of Hilliard and Linda and Dean Brown of St. Paris, seven grandchildren, Joni McQuirt of Columbus, Lisa Brown of Urbana, Gary and Dan Brown of St. Paris, Kevin and Laura Boerner of Hilliard, Jeanette Uberroth of Toledo, four great-grandchildren, four nieces and several great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Richeson-Wickham and Atkins Funeral Home with the Rev. R. J. Davis of the Rosewood United Methodist Church officiating.
Burial will follow in Spring Grove Cemetery
