Reverend Andrew J. Suplicki, pastor of St. Anthony's Parish. Was born in Poland in 1869, arrived in the United States at age of 11 with parents, Joseph and Katherine. Family resided in Cleveland. Fr. Suplicki attended Resurrection College in Berlin, Ontario and in 1888, entered St. Mary’s Seminary in Cleveland to study for the priesthood. He was ordained on Dec. 21, 1893.
He came to Toledo as curate of St. Anthony’s Church and established lasting friendships in the parish. Fr. Suplicki was then assigned as pastor at St. Adelbert’s Church in Berea, where he remained six years. He returned to Toledo as pastor of St. Anthony’s in 1901 and served in that capacity until his death on December 28, 1921.
