James, a farmer, and Mahala were the parents of Daniel H, b Apr 10, 1850; Nelson E, b 1853; Mary Jane, b Jan 29, 1855; Randolph, b 1857; Mathias, b Mar 1862; Edward Thurman, b Sep 15, 1867; and William Wallace, b Jan 9, 1871
Son Randolph died Sep 12, 1870; Nelson, married, father of a son, died Dec 1, 1879; both sons are buried near their parents.
Son Daniel H. married twice, first to Eliza Radcliff, father of 7 children.
Daniel H.(1850-1926) and Mattie R. Booth (1864-1942) Pearce are buried at Radcliff Cemetery.
Daughter Mary Jane married James Harvey Wright, parents of 4 children.
Mary Jane (1855-1931) and James Harvey (1851-1922) Wright are buried at Radcliff Cemetery.
Son Edward Thurman married Mary Ann Autherson, b Oct 17, 1876, Middleport, on Feb 27, 1897, Meigs County; parents of 4 children
Mary Ann died Nov 28, 1923, 47Y, result of surgery. Edward Thurman died July 1, 1928, 60Y 9M 13D, cerebral hemorrhage.
Edward Thurman (1867-1928) and Mary Ann (1876-1923) Pierce are buried at Middleport Hill Cemetery.
Son Mathias Pierce, single, coal miner, farmer, lived with his brother, William Wallace, in 1900, then his sister's daughter, Ida Mae Lowe & husband Jasper, in 1910 and 1920- no death record found
Son William Wallace married twice, first to Mary J. Evans, 11 children
William Wallace (1871-1946) and Emma Lowe (1901-1991) Pierce are buried at Radcliff Cemetery.
