Harold J. Cruikshank Jr., age 85, formerly of Conover, passed away November 13, 2016, at Heartland of Piqua Nursing Home.

Harold was born November 3, 1931 in Troy, Ohio to the late Harold J. Cruikshank Sr. and Edith (Hirsch) Cruikshank.

He was married July 31, 1955 to Ethel (Comer) Cruikshank, and she survives.

Harold is also survived by daughter; Dale and Janice Wick of Sidney, grandchildren; Matthew and Pam Wick of Botkins, Brian and Brenda Kenphues of St. Paris, Ohio, great-grandchildren; Makala and Levi Wick, siblings; Tom and Edna Mae Boyd of Vermillian, Ohio, and Dick and Bea Cruikshank of Piqua.

One brother, Lewis, preceded him in death.

Harold proudly served in the U S Army in Germany. He was a member of the VFW in Piqua. He retired after 35 years in the shipping department of Crane Pump of Piqua. He enjoyed antique tractor shows and traveling. Harold and Ethel enjoyed traveling to 49 of the 50 states during their 61 years of marriage.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road with Chaplain Candy Null officiating. Burial will follow at Fletcher Cemetery with full military services performed by the Sidney American Legion Post 217.
